The National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence (NDA) is Australia’s key bullying prevention initiative, connecting schools and communities to find workable solutions to bullying and violence. De La Salle College is a registered NDA school and last week the College Prefects with the SRC promoted an activity of signing a pledge against bullying and pledging their commitment. The theme for 2022 is ‘Kindness Culture.’ At three different locations students created a pledge wall which was a visible sign of our communities commitment to stand against bullying and contribute to a kindness culture. Hundreds of pledges were signed and De La Salle students are to be congratulated for getting behind this important initiative.
Our Pastoral Program too, provides students with a focus on bullying over the last two weeks. Students explored what bullying is, strategies on how to manage if it occurs and participated in an anti- bullying Survey. Senior leaders also created a video on the impact of bullying and how our College can stand together against bullying and violence in all its forms.
